# Transparent Fee Structure

Socio keeps costs simple, visible, and honest. Here is **every single fee** you will ever encounter.

## The 2% Trader Tax

Every buy and sell of Creator Shares incurs a flat **2% Trader Tax**, split as follows:

| Component       | Rate | Who receives it   |
| --------------- | ---- | ----------------- |
| **Pons Tax**    | 1%   | Pons launchpad    |
| **Creator Fee** | 1%   | The share creator |

```
Example: you buy $100 of Creator Shares
$100.00  total
  $1.00  → Pons Tax (goes to Pons)
  $1.00  → Creator Fee (goes to creator)
$98.00   → value of the shares you receive (before pool + gas)
```

Selling works identically — the same 2% applies on the way out.

## What else do you pay?

{% hint style="success" %}
**Nothing hidden.** Beyond the 2% Trader Tax, there are only two standard, industry-wide costs:
{% endhint %}

| Cost | What it is | Paid by |
| --------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | ---------- |
| **Uniswap pool fees** | Standard market-making fee for swapping ETH ↔ stock | The trader |
| **Network gas** | Robinhood Chain transaction fee | The trader |

## What you will NEVER pay

* No withdrawal fees
* No monthly subscription
* No hidden off-chain service charges
* No surprise markups on your trades

## The full picture in one table

| Action              | Fees                           |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| Create an account   | **Free**                       |
| Browse the feeds    | **Free**                       |
| Launch a group      | **Free**                       |
| Buy Creator Shares  | 2% Trader Tax + pool fee + gas |
| Sell Creator Shares | 2% Trader Tax + pool fee + gas |
| Export your wallet  | **Free**                       |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Why gas is tiny here:** Socio runs on the Robinhood Chain, an Optimism-based rollup with consistently low fees — so the gas on your trades stays comfortably small.
{% endhint %}

**Next:** take full control of your wallet.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.socio.family/fees-security-and-asset-management/transparent-fee-structure.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
